Kirsten Simon, Office ManagerAn artist at heart, Kirsten Simon has managed to infuse creativity into each stage of her career. As a professional, Kirsten’s career has spanned multiple industries, including travel and tourism, graphic design, creative artistry and business.

Kirsten is a 1994 Ball State University graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in geography and a minor in marketing. Upon graduation, Kirsten began working at RCI in Indianapolis, where she advanced her way through several roles in the company. In June 2000, she moved on to become a production specialist supervisor with TKO Graphix. In 2003, a family move took her to Nashville, where she spent a year working as a painter with an award-winning mural artist on various creative art projects. In August 2004, she took a job as an office assistant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

In 2007, Kirsten and her husband, Lance, decided Danville was calling their family back home. Kirsten became a stay-at-home mom, artist and dedicated volunteer to several local community organizations, as well as a fundraiser for not-for-profits serving children in need.

In January 2012, Kirsten helped establish the Hendricks Elite Aquatics Team (HEAT), a USA Swimming-sanctioned club that joins students from various local schools. She continues her involvement in the organization today, currently serving as vice president of the board. Along with her husband, Kirsten also helped to launch and coordinate the local Mud Soap Run that ran annually from 2013 to 2015.

Kirsten is a proud Danville native, having been born and raised here. She lives with her husband, Lance, and their three children, Ty, Julia and Adele.

Random facts about Kirsten


Kirsten and her family share their home with their adopted dog, Bitsy.

Kirsten has two favorite hobbies: cooking and painting. She has a booth at Gilley’s Antique & Decorator Mall to display and sell her paintings.

One of her favorite movies is Alice in Wonderland and all the Avengers movies. She and her sister have a secret dream to be the Black Widow.

She painted a sea-themed mural, featuring her two daughters as mermaids, in her family's bathroom.

While living in Nashville, she worked with an award-winning mural artist named Leigh Ann Agee. During this time, she had the opportunity to paint country singer Trace Adkin’s daughter’s furniture.
